What to Expect

It is our pleasure to welcome you as a new chiropractic patient to Arizona Spinal Care.

For your first visit, please plan on arriving 10 to 15 minutes early to our Scottsdale chiropractic office to complete some brief paperwork about you and your condition. For your convenience, you may also print and complete the New Patient Documentation forms on this page and bring them with you to your appointment. Plan on your first visit to take approximately 30 minutes.

Also, if you have insurance, please bring your card and/or information with you. You can also call or fax your information ahead of time and we'll have it ready when you arrive.

Chiropractic Consultation

Once we receive and review your paperwork, you will have a consultation with a chiropractor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns and potential chiropractic treatment options.

History and Examination

Our first concern is to determine your actual condition. The doctor will ask you various questions related to your condition and perform a number of specialized tests to determine which areas are affected and to what extent, providing you with a diagnosis.

X-ray Studies

Your specific condition may require us to order x-rays or other imaging to rule out more serious conditions or to assist us in developing your most effective treatment plan. If you need these we will refer you out to a convenient location.

Same Day Treatment

Once we complete your initial examination and any appropriate studies, you will most likely receive your first chiropractic treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies, depending on your level of pain.

Home Therapy Instructions

Prior to leaving our Scottsdale chiropractic office, we will provide you with instructions on certain activities or procedures to complete at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions; avoidance of certain activities or positions; and home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

Finally, we will schedule a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. You should generally expect to be seen at our Scottsdale chiropractic clinic within 1-2 days with a complete review of our findings. Treatment options and a treatment plan for your condition will also be discussed during this time.

We will also go over your insurance coverage and any other obligations at that time.
