Chiropractors go through an intense education to graduate as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Their curriculum includes:
1) Completion of at least two years undergraduate study, with a focus on the sciences
2) Four years of Chiropractic Education
3) Pass post-graduate written and oral board exams, at both state and national levels
4) At least 900 hours of work as a chiropractic intern
Their curriculum will include over 3000 hours of study in many of the same subjects as medical doctors, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, geriatrics,pediatrics, chemistry, microbiology, diagnosis, dermatology, neurology, radiology, psychology-psychiatry and orthopedics.
They are also required to have training in physio-therapies, x-ray and laboratory diagnostics.
